A concert pianist in service of music

For the Hungarian–Taiwanese pianist, playing together — sharing the musical moment with like-minded musicians — is one of the greatest and most essential aspirations that can unfold on the concert platform.

Alongside her solo work, she has therefore always devoted herself to chamber music and Lied accompaniment. The prizewinner of national and international competitions received her most formative influence from her collaboration with Thomas Quasthoff.

Lieder and chamber music evenings in the most varied constellations — with ARD and OpusKlassik laureates — take her to renowned houses such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Metropolitan Hall Taipei and the Royal Albert Hall.

She is also a guest at international festivals including the BBC Proms London, the Heidelberger Frühling, the Gezeiten-Festival, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Kammermusik-Festival Liesborn and the literature-and-music festival »Wege durch das Land« alongside Anna Thalbach.

Raised in a family of musicians, she was mentored and trained by the pianist couple Bella Lasheras and Prof. Edmundo Lasheras at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and by Prof. Hans Leygraf at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Further inspiration came from masterclasses with Galina Egiazarova, Prof. Klaus Schilde, Prof. Renate Kretschmar-Fischer and András Schiff.

After completing her Konzertexamen with distinction she was appointed lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold; a teaching post at the Hochschule Stuttgart followed. Enikö Bors is permanent pianist of Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.
